As a child, Id climb to the top of a tree,
And rest on a limb ,way up high,
Alone I would sit, quite and still,
For hours I'd stare at the sky,
Perched in the branches, I'd let troubles go,
Like dry leaves , they'd all fall away,
Replaced by my dreams, I'd create a new world,
Were sky's would be blue everyday,
In my dreams I'd ride dragons, and carry a sword,
In a sheath that was covered with jewels,
Protected by magic, I could never be killed,
I'd defeat all the demons and ghouls.
I lived among fairies , and for me they 'd dance,
I too knew the steps in my dreams,
From a cup made of leaves, I'd drink morning dew,
And with faire's dance on moon beams,
Even when raindrops, slid down my nose,
And too my wet back my shirt clung,
Lost in the forest, nestled in leaves,
High in trees daydreams hung.
