The sun is quickly setting
Another day has passed
Fallen to time
Time thats going fast
Once she was so little
Sitting naked on the ground
Playing with dirt
And small sticks
That she'd found
That child turned to four
Realized she was alone
No one seemed to notice
She was shatter to the bone
That little girl turned six
And her tears fell like rain
Not a single person guessed
She was burdened deep with shame
As she turned eight
She was salaam, she was grown
The little girl inside
Had grown wings and had flow
Elven passed quickly
All tears were hidden deep
Though inside the pain was rising
Not a moment did she weep
Fourteen stands before you
A woman to the eyes
Only inside she was frozen
And a child in a disguise
Sweet sixteen brought troubles
And her heart forever cried
But the tears that she was weeping
Were falling safe inside
Eighteen years to suffer
She wanted free from pain
Crying still forbidden
She felt she'd go insane
Twenty, twenty one
A child no more
Living on her own
Her clothes
Thrown out the door
Twenty three, twenty six
The years quickly passed
A family of her own
The twenties speed by fast
Twenty eight twenty nine
At last shes feeling free
But all tears shes lost
Are coming back to me.
