Ive come to give a warning,
To all young girls and boys,
Concerning eating pizza,
and leaving out your toys,
For there's a silly monster,
They call him Ta-ni- kite,
Who sleeps 'till 3pm,
And stays awake all night,
Once a boy like maybe you,
He was forced to be a man,
But angry Ta-na- kite,
Had another plan,
He didn't want to grow up,
And so he ran away,
Never growing old,
Forever young to stay,
Inside his heart is magic string,
And dabs of sticky glue,
And if you don't watch out,
In daydreams he'll find you.
He'll take you on his paper plane,
Over hills and seas,
Searching for the perfect place,
To take you out to tea,
He'll eat up all your pizza,
And play with all your toys,
So listen up all children,
All you girls and boys.
He'll make you draw with colored chalk,
And keep you up all night,
Singing silly songs,
Until the morning light,
You'll have to reading him storybooks,
And then he'll beg for more,
If you don't, he'll tickle you,
Until your sides are sore,
His jokes aren't always funny,
But even if they stink,
You'll laugh for Ta-ni-kite,
No matter what you think.
I've heard he has a temper,
Although I've yet to see,
When I'm around, he's very shy,
Because he's scared of me.
Yet if I was a little girl,
And him a little boy,
I think that he would pull my hair,
And steel my favorite toy
So if you see him coming,
Make a sure to pout and fuss,
Tell him you like sad, sad books,
And crying is a "plus".
Never laugh, or sing or grin,
Because,if you do,
Ta-ni-kite will want to play,
And come and capture you.
