Everything is glowing,
Under a moon light sky,
The air is still and sticky,
The ground hot and dry,
Silence all around me,
Like night has lost it's tongue,
No birds or crickets chirping,
Not a song is sung,
Every thing is waiting,
Waiting for the rain,
To quench the thirsty earth,
And bring back life again.
